'SNL' Mocks Superhero Sexism With 'Black Widow' Rom-Com Trailer
Marvel has recently come under fire for its allegedly sexist treatment of its character Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” But, thanks to “Saturday Night Live,” we now finally have the spinoff movie Black Widow fans deserve — because Marvel totally “gets women,” you guys.
In the spoof trailer, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) has everything going for her, namely an internship at a fashion magazine and a bunch of friends to order takeout with. But it wouldn’t be a rom-com if she didn’t happen to stumble upon the quirky, dog-walking Ultron at a park and fall hopelessly in love with him. (Like, so in love that she accidentally puts ketchup on her cereal, despite her super powers.)
